Looking back two weeks later, our first ever quiz fundraising evening at Christ Church Constantia exceeded all expectations. Initially, the idea of combining raffles, quiz prizes, and an auction seemed ambitious, but it turned out to be the perfect mix, captivating our guests throughout the night.
We want to share a thank you to Greeff Properties for their donation which helped to make it happen, as well as to everyone who generously donated prizes for the quiz, auction, and raffle sales. Their willingness to support our cause, whether driven by personal connection or simply by empathy, made all the difference.
A special mention goes to our dedicated operational team, Shivann and Jacqui, whose tireless efforts behind the scenes ensured the smooth running of the event. They have put a lot of love into reaching out to people, collecting prizes, organizing, filing, and running the back office on the event itself. We are so proud of our team and what they were able to pull off!
Of course, the evening wouldn’t have been complete without Mano. He brought an undeniable energy to our fundraising event, seamlessly transitioning between the roles of quiz master and auctioneer. With his infectious charm and humor, Mano made the quiz rounds a joyous experience, captivating everyone present and ensuring a night filled with laughter and excitement.
The true highlight, however, was the overwhelming support and love from our attendees. Their presence made the event a huge success! It’s truly heartwarming to witness the growing support for the Thula Baba Project. Whether long-time supporters or new faces joining our cause, each individual’s contribution is invaluable.
